While most of the animals who come here are considered sanctuary, we do try to adopt when it is best for the animal, thereby, opening space for new intake. Not only do we want our animals happy - but we want you hoomans to be too. That means, making sure potential adopters are going to be the right fit for them. Many rescues come to us in terrible condition both physically, emotionally and socially. We work very hard to rehabilitate them. Please realize that animals do not forget and it takes time for our rescues to trust again. Not every home is the right match and we strive to ensure that they do. If you are interested adoption, we ask that you fill out our online form (see below.)
Potential adopters must meet CCAS housing/care requirements; have a close-by qualifying veterinarian; proof of residency; cleared of pet restrictions; an interview; excellent references; pre-adoption house visits (if required); and a full understanding of the huge responsibility and financial commitment that comes from owning a pet/farm animal. We adopt for life!
CCAS is a nonprofit organization. Adoption fees get recycled back into supporting our critically-important work. Adoption fees vary depending on the type of animal.
