If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans." ― James Herriot
Cats = 2 lives saved ❤︎Meet Jerry and Miss Minoes (pronounced: "min-ews") the rescue cats who live in the Rookery. It is hard to believe that cats with this much beauty would ever have to face being strays. But this was just such a life as they led. Fortunately, they now live a purr-fect life at CCFS.
Donate to the Cats ❤︎We are incredibly grateful for your donation - big or small. Donations are used towards giving our cats a life of enrichment, health and all the creature comforts. After-all, "Cats are connoisseurs of comfort."

Senior Dog = 1 life saved ❤︎Yuki came to us after living a life of severe neglect and abuse. In his upper teens, he had lost most of his vision from cataracts and was so sick he could hardly move. Jenny and Mathew were told he just needed a warm, loving place to die. Now, years later, and after multiple surgeries, Yuki still calls the Rookery home. Yuki's favorite things are snuggling, going for walks in the woods and just finding a warm lap to lay his head on. We think Yuki (which is Japanese for "gentle hope") grows younger every day.
Donate to Yuki ❤︎Senior dogs have their own set of care - including medical ones. Please help us to give Yuki his very best life.

Rescue Rabbits = 31 lives saved ❤︎Meet the Lu-Lu's, Calliope, Calista, Patches, Sir Pim and Josephine. We currently have thirty-one rabbits who call Cottontail Cottage Farm Sanctuary home. Our rabbits live in big pens their own tiny houses. They take turns playing in the big barn and dancing across the hemlock floorboards. Rabbits need plenty of exercise each day. It is truly magic to walk in and see these magical creatures being free to move, hop and binky!
Donate to Rabbits ❤︎We are BIG rabbit advocates, mainly because they are so often misunderstood, but also because Cottontail Cottage wouldn't be what it is today without them. They are such beautiful creatures and we love them more than we can say. Please donate towards their care.

Feathered Friends = 22 lives saved ❤︎Meet the Puddle-Ducks, Jemimah and Rebeccah. Rebeccah is a white pekin and one of the gentlest creatures on the farm. Jemimah is a crested Khaki Campbell (she has a pom-pom on her head) and is very sweet. Like in the Beatrix Potter story, "The Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck," Jemima was "a very silly duck" and found one wintry night perched on a guardrail in the middle of a blizzard. Luckily for her, she was rescued and brought to CCFS, where she is a beloved member of the family (Then again, perhaps she was a very smart duck.) Currently, CCFS cares for 22 birds including ducks, chickens and fantail pigeons who live in a big aviary upstairs in the barn where they have their own dovecote.
Donate to Feathered Friends ❤︎Did you know ducks can live to be twenty? This is true. That means, Jemima and friends will be in our care that long. A full, beautiful life. One of our biggest wishes is to raise enough funds to put in a pond. Maybe someday, with your help, we will be able to.

Farm Animals = 18 lives saved ❤︎Meet Lucy the miniature horse, Took, Perry Miller and Pudding. Adorable, funny and incredibly special. Not only do they keep us on our toes, but fill our hearts full of joy. Look deep into their eyes and you will find a legacy of love. Currently, CCFS cares for 18 "hooved" animals that include cows, horses, pigs, goats and sheep.
Donate to Farm Animals ❤︎Help us fence in more fields and pastures for them to play and run and explore in. Help us expand and grow so more lives like these can be saved.
